Rebates + RECs: Can You Get Both?
Yes. Utility rebates and PA Tier II RECs are completely separate programs administered by different entities. You can — and should — pursue both from the same energy efficiency project.
Utility Rebates

- • Typically $0.04–$0.15/kWh or per-unit incentive
- • Subject to annual program budgets
PA Tier II RECs
- • Administered through PJM-GATS
- • Annual recurring revenue over the measure's remaining useful life
- • 2024–25 weighted-average pricing: $26.92/AEC (source: PennAEPS)
- • No budget cap — market-driven pricing
